New Balance X Mita X Real Mad Hectic MT580 "CMYK"

The 12th release of the collaboration between New Balance, Mita Sneakers, and realmadHectic on the MT580 will be first available in Japan on July 5th. Entitled “CMYK”, the sneaker rocks the classic CMYK colors with some white accents on the sides, ankle and midsoles. I can't say it enough but these MT580s are the dope dope dope shit!! This three way collabo has been goin' strong for years and this is a worthy addition to the line. I would pick this up in a second if I lived in Japan.

Nike Terminator High Supreme "Rock Pack"

Though not for the faint of heart, the Terminator High Supreme of the much-hyped “Rock Pack” is arguably the most dynamic and visually arresting, with detailing that includes gold studding and a tagged camouflage guitar pick. The Terminator High Supreme follows the recent release of the Rock Pack’s Vandal High Ex and Talache and is set for release at Atmos on June 28th, with a pre-sale on June 21st.

The Clipse "Fast Life" Produced By Scott Storch

Following the release of their critical success, but ultimately commercial failure, "Hell Hath No Fury," The Clipse have reconsidered the direction of their music. They sounded flawless over Pharrell’s spaced out beats, but the unorthodox nature of the album’s sound was not received well by the masses. So, in a move that many people might scoff at, The Clipse have been working with Scott Storch on the latest Re-Up Gang record. No one can deny Scott’s ability to produce bona-fide hits, but you have to wonder if his in your face style can translate to The Clipse’s understated flow. Well, wonder no more because “Fast Life” has been leaked and it’s apparently the lead single off the forthcoming Re-Up Gang record. The track starts out with epic swirling synths that drop into a catchy hand clap beat. Malice and Pusha T do damage and seem comfortable on the clean sounding production. Maybe The Clipse were always built for the big times, but only time will tell. The Re-Up gang will be releasing their LP some time this year, stay tuned for more leaks.

Alkaline Trio x Nike 6.0 “Heart and Soul” Air Zoom Cush

The action sports 6.0 collection from Nike has looked to punk band Alkaline Trio to embody the brand’s spirit in this latest Air Zoom Cush collaboration titled “Heart and Soul”. The stylings of the new Dunk-esque Cush relate to the band’s history through the use of unique details and materials. Among the highlights are the Chicago Bulls inspired black/red colorway, in homage to Alkaline Trio’s Chicago roots. Furthermore, reflective accents and bike-tread graphics are a tribute to Alkaline Trio and their meeting as respective bike messengers. The all synthetic upper was chosen to reflect the vegetarian nature of each band member. In the midst of a tour to support their latest album, "Agony and Irony", the shoes will see their initial release with a messenger bag at Jacks Retail Shop (Huntington Beach) on June 27th, with a nationwide rollout on July 11th. Reebok Court Force Victory & Pump Omni Lite

A new Reebok Court Victory Pump and Pump Omni Lite is about to be released. They come in a nice summer colorway, turquoise/orange/ white. I like the color combos on these sneakers. The design stays clean and crisp with great little flourishes like the checkerboard design. All in all a nice colorway for the summer.

XLarge Japan stores will be releasing the sneaker on June 20th.

Mita X Asics Gel Lyte III "Kirimomi Project"

The Asics Gel Lyte III has become a popular collaboration sneaker these days. The latest is with Japan's Mita Sneakers. They worked with Asics on the Kirimomi Project, which consists of two Asics Gel Lyte IIIs.

I'm really impressed with both of the colorways on this sneaker collab. I like the splashy quality of the purple shoe but the overall design and cohesiveness of the black on black shoe is the real star of this pack. Nice mix of materials and a real neck breaker for the shoe heads.

Mita will be releasing them on July 12th.

Atmos X New Balance "Face Off" 576 (great day in the morning!)

Once again Atmos gets together with New Balance as part of the 576 20th anniversary collection. The Atmos x New Balance M576 "Face Off" comes in a turquoise/black colorway with pink accents as well as lots of details including printed graphics and embroideries. I love this shoe! The graf style New Balance on the heel is sweet. The shoe changes color according to temperature! I wish I lived in Japan every time New Balance releases a show at Atmos or Mita.

Atmos will be releasing the shoe on June 27th.

New Balance MT580 2009 Preview

Three new colorways of the popular New Balance MT580 (my favorite New Balance) are on the way for 2009. Most allow a bright color burst (white on black will count here) to accent a more neutral base. Designed as a trail runner, the shoe retrains its rugged technical features only to become more street smart with color. Nylon mesh allows breathability, while leather provides strength. New Balance 576 "Mexican Blanket Pack"

We have seen it from Nike already this year and now New Balance also released its very own version of the Mexican Blanket Pack. They applied the special materials and stitching on the 576 model. It comes in a black and a grey colorway. The Mexican blanket details appear around the ankle and on the inner sole and lining. I'm not a huge fan of the toe box on this. It needs a different material or something. Colors are ok. I probably would not pick this one up.

The New Balance CM576J Mexican Blanket Pack is now available at Mita.

A.R.C. x Saucony Shadow 6000 Pack

OK, i don't know if I'll ever pick up any saucony shoes but the company is definitely makin' moves in '08. Announcing their presence with AUTHORITY!!! i . like the strong colors and it is a nice runner's silhouette.

Rivington Club (A.R.C.) gives you a first look at their upcoming collaboration with Saucony on the Shadow 6000. Once again it is not just one sneaker, but a pack of three. The Saucony Shadow 6000 was first introduced in 1985. The sneaker comes in a red, blue and green colorway and they are limited to 200 pairs.
All three have a white upper with accents in beige and the respective color. The tongue features an A.R.C. tag.
The A.R.C. x Saucony Shadow 6000 Pack will be released at the end of June, so keep your eyes open for the release dates.

Sneakers N Stuff x Reebok SNS 5000

Sneakers N Stuff from Stockholm ,is at it again and developed together with Reebok the SNS 5000.

"About a year ago Sneakers n Stuff released a sneaker that was inspired by the traditional settlers of Sweden - the Sámi people.

Now they have continued their journey through Sweden and it’s traditions and next stop is Dalecarlia. A province in the middle of Sweden best known for the Dalecarlian horse or “Dalahästen” as they say in Sweden. A wooden horse painted with a teqnique called kurbits. The horse first got carved in Sweden in the 17th century as a toy for children.

In 1939 the Dalecarlian horse represented Sweden at the New York World’s Fair and since then the horse has been a very strong symbol for the country." Via Solebox Blog.

The sneaker will be released on July 25th, is limited to 300 pairs worldwide, and will go for 110 Euros.

Jack Splash of Plantlife Interview

Format magazine has a dope interview up with my man Jack Splash of Plantlife. Go check out the interview and pick up one of the best albums of '08, Plantlife's "Time Traveller."

Download: Plantlife's "u messed it up, so we took it back..."

Here is an excerpt:

Format: You’ve worked on ton of albums including Alicia Keys’ As I Am John Legend’s Once Again, Estelle’s Shine and we will be seeing your work in upcoming works with Missy Elliott and Cee-Lo. Where would you say you have left your strongest mark and why?
Jack Splash: That’s a tough question. I don’t really like to quantify my work that way. I honestly try to make the most incredible music with every artist I work with. That’s why I turn down a lot of work because I don’t want to just be working for the check. I’ve been making good money doing exactly what I love so I want to keep it that way. Almost every song I’ve produced for the artists I worked with have their very magical moments to me.

Me and Cee-Lo are like twins because we’re both bugged the fuck out and want to keep taking people higher. Alicia is just the ultimate singer songwriter and she’s so fun to work with. She’s real similar to me as far as us both being as much into hip-hop as we are other types of music. She was playing me some Janis Joplin songs before we wrote some of our songs. Same thing with Estelle, Solange, Raheem DeVaughn, John Legend and a lot of the other artists I’ve been working with. Every single one of them have magical moments that I wouldn’t trade for anything. The most important thing to me is that I have fun making the music, because at the end of the day that’s what it is really about.

Reebok Reverse Jam

With a neon pink upper, yellow accents and a speckled mid-sole, the Reebok Sport Pack Reverse Jam sports one of the most aggressive color-ways of summer '08. Of course DJ Lazy is feelin' the flamboyant colors but I'm really postin' this for my man Mr. Mess who loves ta rock the Reeboks. Samples of the shoe have been floating around for a while, but confirmation of a near release (this month) has now surfaced. (via complex)
